Our First Open House at Future Home in South Wedge

On Tuesday, June 30, we offered a first look at our new home in the South Wedge.

Although the site is very much in demolition mode, we are already very excited about all the new things we will be able to do as Rochester’s only community-owned grocery store as part of the growing South Wedge neighborhood. We took the opportunity at the press conference to share that vision for our new store.

Members of major media outlets were attendance and heard words from our key speakers: Katie Malarkey, Vice President of the Board of Directors, Judy Bennett, an Abundance shareholder and South Wedge resident, Paul Johnson, Acting Director for Monroe County Planning and Economic Development, Matt McCarthy, Representative for the City of Rochester’s Mayor Office, and John Page, President of the South Wedge Planning Committee.
